Winning the Game of Life

Hi Readers:

I have been sad lately because my first baby is leaving for college this Thursday. It is a hard transition to make for anyone. This Thursday will also be my 21st anniversary so I will be on a real roller coaster ride. I thought I would share a motivating conversation that I had with my son this evening.

I remarked to my son that he was leaving on Thursday, I could hardly believe it and how did this happen? He told me,” mom, it happened because you won the game of Life”. This made me feel so much better.

So, parents, there you have it. When you get to this point, you have won the game of Life. This is a wonderful way to look at this difficult transition. So, remember, that with every milestone in our children’s life, we are getting closer to winning at the game of Life!
